Film composer, songwriter and guitarist AJ Caruso launched on to the music scene in the late 80’s, touring extensively across the Southeast U.S. opening for major acts such as CHEAP TRICK, REO SPEEDWAGON, FOREIGNER, and KANSAS. A native of New Orleans, LA, AJ also appears on numerous nationally released tribute albums, contributing a multitude of talents including a variety of instruments, vocals, programming, engineering and producing. His love for music in film inspired a natural progression into film scoring and other areas of music composition. AJ continues to expand his musical horizon, creating all original material for an array of media such as television, commercials, and a number of award winning independent films including the feature film "My Friend, Oscar." His uncanny ability to musically interpret the precise action in a scene in any musical style imaginable and working seamlessly and efficiently with film makers has made AJ one of the most sought-after up and coming music composers. AJ has recently expanded into film making, writing, producing, and directing his Straitjacket Studios' award winning short film debut Z.14.12.
